OLIMPICS

The OLIMPICS (Organization for LIving Matter and PhysICS) federation, which brings together more than 190 permanent staff from 23 laboratories in Grenoble, was supported and approved by the various supervisory bodies (UGA, CNRS, INSERM, CEA) on 15 December last.

The aim of the federation is to create a multidisciplinary synergy and accelerate our fundamental research (understanding living organisms) and applied research (innovating with and for living organisms) in order to share our scientific approaches, boost our visibility and act as a lever at local, national and international level.

The scientific project is based on 4 main themes:

  • Organisation of soft and biological matter: coupling structure, function and properties
  • Dynamics of living systems: out-of-equilibrium systems, spatio-temporal evolution, etc.
  • Interrogating life: interacting, measuring, imaging
  • Physical changes in living systems: cell mechanics, microenvironment, radiation,

Directoire : Aurélie Dupont (CNRS, LIPhy) directrice ; Jean-François Adam (UGA, STROBE), Arnaud Buhot (CEA, SyMMES), Gaëlle Offranc-Piret (INSERM, Braintech) directeurs adjoints.

Bureau : Xavier Le Guével (CNRS, IAB) - Cécile Delacour (CNRS, I. Néel) - Emmanuel Hadji (CEA, PhELIQS) - Marie-Laure Gallin-Martel (CNRS, LPSC) - Ivan Junier (CNRS, TIMC) - Elisa Migliorini (CNRS, Biosanté) - Franck Quaine (UGA, GIPSA lab)
